Draining and cleaning for the pool covers

Be sure to drain the cover of water and sweep up any detritus that is present. Doing this will be beneficial for keeping quagmire out of your pool while also keeping the cover neat and uncluttered for the closing season. Recall cleaning the cover thoroughly before folding and preserving it for the winter. There is another option of covers that is automatic covers. Automatic pool covers can also trap heat and keeping your pool water warmer, longer. We suggest you a better option for better safety

You never really want a vacant pool, unless you are doing some type of work to your pool. Your water should be filled to the middle of your skimmer.

This is important because your pump needs instant water and not air when you finally turn it on. It’s not a good sight, and it can damage your filter equipment.

When the filter has been running for up to 24 hours after, you can test the water for total alkalinity, calcium hardness, chlorine, and pH levels. You will need to shock the pool with chlorine to remove organisms and then add algaecide and sustain it to the water. Depend on the results of your water test, you’ll need to add the type and amount of specific chemicals but you should start by balancing the total alkalinity since it helps the other chemicals reach the yearn for levels. After steady the water,

– the total alkalinity  between 80 and 120 ppm,

-the pH level between 7.4 and 7.6

-while the free obtainable chlorine needs to be between 2.0 and 4.0 ppm.

The calcium firmness is perfect between 200 and 400 ppm and the Cyanuric Acid (stabilizer) should sit between 30 and 50 ppm.

If you have already hired weekly pool service then they will help you with these processes and will save you a lot of time.

Reconnect Pool Equipment

If your pool water levels are good, the next thing you need to focus on is your pool equipment. Form your filter, pump, heater removed during winter, you will reestablish any plugs.  After every debris pieces have been gathered, it is now time to turn it all on to see how everything utilizes. This is done to get everything more prepared while also checking all of the tools to ensure a smooth operation for when the season is in full swing.

Clean your Pool Filter

You should have to check your pump and filter for any leaks or drops of water. And check your filter elements or sand to ensure they do not need to be changed before the season. Also, check to make sure you have proper flow throughout your system. DE powder adds if necessary if you have a D.E filter. Ideally, this is the perfect time to address any issues you have with your equipment.
